One of the most joyous events in a Woman's life is becoming a Mother. We look forward to the day of our new baby's birth with hope and excitement -- What if everything went wrong? What if something silent; something you didn't even know existed -- something not mentioned in the slew of "What to Expect' books, a condition so rare, that most medical professionals are unaware even exists -- STRIKES?
It happens in approximately 1 in every 4,000 live births in US women. There are no answers, only speculation. What if it happened to you? To your Wife, Sister, Friend? Wouldn't you want answers? Wouldn't you want treatment and intervention at the earliest possible moment? This is a Matter of Life & Death. Please help us in the pursuit of answers in the pursuit of saving lives and making a difference. Heart Disease Does Not Discriminate -- Peripartum Cardiomyopathy is no exception.
